Powershot A3000IS – With more shooting modes and a larger LCD display, the A3000IS provides more flexibility for the beginner to advanced photographer. The camera has a smart auto mode, so that you can focus on your subject, while the camera takes care of the technical details. Great feature for beginning photographers. Available in silver and a great buy at around $150.
Powershot A3100IS – Similar to the A3000IS in capability, but with greater resolution. The A3100IS has 12.1 megapixel resolution with a 4x optical zoom. If you are looking for the flexibility of the A3000IS, but with greater resolution, then you should opt for the A3100IS. The A3100IS is available in 3 colors, and is still a great buy at $170.
Powershot A2000IS – The A2000IS is the top of the line camera in the A-series. With a 6x optical zoom, you can get closer in on your subject. The larger 3 inch LCD display, makes framing your subject easier. Equipped with the easy mode and easy playback, this is still a great camera for beginners, and is very reasonably priced at $170.
